Safe, potable water is paramount to the success of any mission and is of particular interest to SOF soldiers, who have expressed to us a need for water purification options at SOFIC.
Aspen portable water purifiers can be set up using one operator, producing clean water in ten minutes or less from most fresh or salt water sources. Aspen systems are unique in that they can be powered from virtually any international power source using any form of single-phase 90V-260V AC, 50/60 Hz, 12V-24V DC, a military or civilian vehicle’s DC outlet, by battery or solar power. All portable systems are designed to be easily transported inside military vehicles and helicopters and are rugged enough to be deployed by parachute.
Current Aspen systems are favored by all branches of the U.S. Military, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), friendly foreign militaries, and both governmental and civilian disaster/humanitarian relief agencies worldwide.
